This term, the preps are taking part in coding workshops as an introduction to basics in computer programming. During the last two weeks, the students have been learning about algorithms through some ‘unplugged’ activities. They worked together to program Tomo the Robot to draw a smiley face and have taken part in activities where they programmed each other. These workshops has helped to encourage students to working in groups wth students who are less familiar to them, as well as investigate some parts of mathematics such as informal and formal measurements and direction. We will continue to provide these opportunities to students every week.
