As we move into term 2, students in the prep neighbourhood will be exploring the concept of ‘research’ and ‘collaboration’ as a part of their inquiry. To begin this process, this week, the students took part in an inquiry workshop where they made predictions on which bugs we will be able to invite to our bug hotel and voted on this. Students were then involved in an activity where they chose a bug that interested them and created a group with other children who had similar interests. Each child will be a part of a group researching a particular bug collaboratively. They will be involved in workshops where they will be introduced to different research skills to try and find a suitable habitat that will allow their bug to come and visit their section of our bug hotel.
