Today our music project group visited the Arts Centre Melbourne. It was a wonderful insight into how this space worked from a backstage perspective. We saw a lot of great spaces and explored how different performances are staged.
Phoebe (3/4D) spent some time this afternoon reflecting on our experiences during our visit.
“Once everyone in the music group came together we got on the tram, it was very long. When we got out there was a fountain. We went inside and a lady came to us and said please follow me. She took us to a very small stage with not many seats and we looked around and heard about different performances. We visited another big theatre and it has thousands of seats, it was so cool! We then went to a room that has walls filled with marbles and objects from the history of the Arts Centre.”
Huge thank you to Keith, Leigh and Emma (Ruby’s mum!) for joining us and to Rosemary at the Arts Centre for the great tour!
