Why Write?
According to the Year 2 neighbourhood, this is why we write:
- We write because if we did a spelling test without using writing imagine how long it would take the teachers to write an individual word at a time. This allows individuals to share their understanding. (Olivia)

- For information and to communicate (Maggie)
- We write to make stories (Molly) – Isabelle/Lilian/Iona agree.
