The preps had a wonderful time at Scienceworks yesterday. We would like to first of all thank all the parent helpers who came along. We would not have been able to do this without you.
Our exciting day started with a bus trip together to Spotswood.
When we arrived at Scienceworks, we began in the Planetarium where we sat back (quite literally) to watch a story called Tycho Goes to the Moon, and a general presentation of the night sky. We learned how to find the Southern Cross, and that on a clear night, we might be able to see Jupiter just above the moon.
We then went in to have a look around the exhibitions. There was an exhibition concerning sports science called Sportsworks.
There was also an exhibition about future technologies called Think Ahead.
And a very engaging exhibition promoting curiosity in science called Ground Up.
In between all of that, we had a spot of lunch and a play on the playground!
Well done preps for supporting each other, having fun and learning together and representing our school impeccably!
