Literacy
This week in Literacy the students have continued developing their independent writing piece. The students are researching their chosen topic and incorporating this new learning into their writing. Prior to publishing their work each student will self-edit, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and other aspects such as varied sentences.
The students have also been focusing on reading strategies,specifically how we make inferences.
Spelling remains an ongoing area of development as does the correct use of language conventions. This week the students completed a spelling inquiry to further their understanding of common spelling patterns.
