On Monday 26th March, in the last week of Term 1, the Year 2 students will be turning back time and stepping into the past – at Princes Hill Primary School!
Following on from our excursion to Sovereign Hill the week before, we plan to spend the day as if we were in the 1850’s – throughout the day students will experience lessons in a classroom set up as if we were learning in this era, take part in traditional colonial baking, and play old fashioned games. We will finish the day with an afternoon picnic.
Teachers will be dressing up for the occasion, and students are encouraged wear their own old-timey clothes, as if they were a student 150 years ago! We will be providing more information about the day next week, however students are welcome to start brainstorming with their families to prepare their outfit for our ‘Step Into The Past Day’.
