Help us Stock our Maker Space!

Have you got an overflowing craft/sewing cupboard that you need to empty? We can help you out!

In the coming weeks, the year 2 neighbourhood studio is going to be turned into a maker space.  It will give students a chance to try their hand at a variety of ‘past crafts’ such as rag doll making, quilting, weaving and knitting. So if you have any of the following supplies at home, that you are happy to part with – send them our way!!

  • Fabric scraps (big enough to do small quilting squares and dolls clothes)
  • wool (acrylic is fine!) – we need TONNES of this!!
  • pins and needles
  • sewing thread
  • Any other bits and pieces you might think may come in handy!

We will also be putting a call out for helpers (grandparents, parents!) to come in and support the students with their past crafts – helping with sewing, needle threading, cutting etc.

We will leave tubs out each morning for parents to load us up!  Meredith and Jen will also be taking a trip to Reverse Art Truck on Saturday morning to nab some awesome stuff to stock our maker space.

We look forward to seeing what comes out of your cupboards!
