Welcome to the first Year 3 blog of the year (Gabriel). We hope this will give you a good idea of what we have been learning (Louis). These are some of our insightful reflections of the year so far:
Robert: Me and Aurelien have been working on a cubby project (CSP- contain, secure and protect). I have enjoyed this because we have been adding to it and strengthening it.
Ayshe: When I started Year 3 I felt very nervous, sad, happy and excited because there were lots of people I did and didn’t know.
Blai: I’m feeling happy because I’m in a new neighbourhood.
Frances: In Year 3 we are doing observational drawings of leaves, bark, gumnuts and branches.
Binderiya: When I started Year 3 I was nervous because I was going to be in a new space and I was going to meet new people. Now I am used to the spaces and I know all of the students in Year 3.
Jack K: I have been writing a song called ‘The Glitch’.
Louis: When I started Year 3 I felt excited because I was in the same class as my best friends #TuckerandFelix and now I feel happy.
Gigi: In Year 3 this year we are doing Book Clubs. They are super fun. They are groups of 4-5 people who gather and chat about the book we have been reading.
Koen: In Year 3 we found a couple of leaves with strange things on them. Max thinks they are wasp eggs. If they are, I sure hope they hatched before we found them.
Felix: We have been here and it hasn’t been a long time with our friends enjoying school with a lot of work. Some of us have finished and some of us are working together. Some of us are working the middle of a project and some of us are just starting.
Gabriel: We have been doing Maths daily this year. I have been doubling and skip counting.
Tucker: This year we are very excited about the Swimming Carnival because we haven’t done it before.
Edie: Going into Year 3 was fun and I was also nervous because I was going into a new neighbourhood and going into the senior school is a big deal. When I went there for a few days I felt like it was really fun and I think Year 3 is going to be a good year for me.
Decca: At the start of Year 3 I felt nervous because I didn’t know many people because I’m still new. I’m not nervous anymore because I’m getting used to all the spaces and what we do.
Zoe: I like doing group projects and collaborating with my friends. I have done two projects with all of my friends: A play and a maths board game about multiplication facts.
Ebony: When we started Year 3 most of us were very, very excited to see our little brothers and sisters every day except for Wednesdays. I have spent lots of time with my little brother because he is fun to play with.
Stay tuned for more.
