Design
This term the ⅘ neighbourhood have jumped straight back into our design inquiry.
Students are investigating a range of design avenues from fashion to coding. We have conducted workshops which have looked into the design process and how design can be used to solve problems and create better outcomes.
One such workshop focused on the ubiquitous plastic bottle. The students discussed the over production of plastic bottles and possible redesigns for them.
This term we hope to collaborate with some of our parent experts who can bring their expertise into the neighbourhood to further develop the students’ thinking about design.
As part of our involvement in the New Metrics research project we are also continuing to develop the student’s collaboration and communication skills through interactive drama and friendship focused workshops.
