The spelling focus when reading this week is homophones, words that sound the same but have a different mean. An example is wear and where.
Writing
Our writing focus this week is a response to the question, “Are communities important?” What do you think? Can you persuade someone to agree with you?
Inquiry
Our inquiry focus continue to be community and our sense of belonging. Questions to explore include, “What does it mean to be an Australian?”, “Who lives in our cities?” and “Why are cities a desirable place to live?”
