Students across the school have been engaging in a variety of performing arts experiences to embed new language. Drama games such as sciarade (charades), testa giu` (head down), numeri (numbers), non importa (it doesn’t matter) are all assisting us to practise and consolidate key learning around adjectives, new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, whilst using our faces, bodies and voices to express emotions.
In addition to the above mentioned games we’ve been engaging in some simple role plays and/or creating comics to embed key vocabulary and expressions. We are focusing on the use of greetings for different times of the day, sharing simple interactions such as inquiring after another’s health and asking for something (eg in a cafe or restaurant), remembering to use our manners! (per favore/grazie).
