Fantastic Swimming Carnival!
As we returned to school after the recent lockdown, we had all crossed our fingers to have our swimming carnival re-scheduled – and we succeeded!
What a day it was! From the nervous racers to the incredible house coloured costumes, the carnival itself was a fun-filled day for all. Besides the chanting and cheering on the side lines, swimmers competed in their respective age groups with Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly. After such a big day, we tallied up the house points and winning house colours will be revealed at our upcoming virtual assembly. Who will win? No one knows!
And the swimming doesn’t stop there! This Thursday, the students who placed 1st and 2nd in our swimming carnival events, will be representing our school in the local district competition – going up against other neighbouring schools at Fitzroy Swimming Pool. We wish them all the very best as they push for the next level in Division.
A huge thank you to the amazing, supporting staff and parents who made the carnival possible. We got through hurdle after hurdle, but the students are very thankful it all went ahead. Well done!
And now enjoy the brilliant shots taken by Mr. Robert Vandahl himself from the enjoyable day…
