Below you will find information regarding the service including our overall philosophies, guiding principles, program procedures and our place within the Princes Hill School Community.
If you have any queries relating to operational processes please do not hesitate to ask either Mandy or Jason. At the service you will find a Service Handbook which has the following information and expands where applicable. There are copies at the service and photocopies can be made if required. The Princes Hill Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Program is sponsored by School Council and with the full support of the School community. The OSHC Service operates in accordance with the school philosophies, policies and procedures.
Philosophy
To Provide quality childcare for Primary School-aged children at Princes Hill Primary School. The program is community based and offers flexibility which meets the needs of families who require their children to be cared for both before and after schoolThe Princes Hill Primary School OSHC Program is committed to nurturing and extending each child’s social, physical, emotional and intellectual development in a child friendly, creative, stimulating, safe, supportive and fun environment.The program offers a planned, flexible and balanced program which responds to children’s interests, needs and stages of development. The program is developed in collaboration with children, staff and families.Our philosophy is guided by the five outcomes of the ‘My Time, Our Place’ Framework for school age care in Australia, which draws on the themes of Belonging, Being & Becoming: The Victorian Early Years Framework.
