Highlights of the Week Monday 15th of May – Friday 19th of May

We had lots of creative activities this week, from cushion cover painting to creating ‘Emoji’ masks.

The cushion cover painting activity was held outside. Theodor T from prep did a great job of using different colour paints to create patterns on the calico. When he finished, lots of children wanted him to help them with their cushions!

During the wire sculptures and construction activity, the children made some beautiful sculptures and jewellery. Eva C and Ella K came up with the idea of making head pieces with cat ears out of the wire.

 

The ‘Emoji’ mask activity was also a very popular activity. The children used yellow paper to create ‘Emojis’ which are little smiley faces that are used in digital messaging.
