Returning to School
It has been a long time coming – but we finally returned to school last Thursday. It was so lovely to see the children face-to-face. As you can imagine, they were thrilled to see their friends, their teachers and to be back in the familiar surrounds of their neighbourhood.
Our primary focus for our two days back was to support the children to feel comfortable with the return to school and facilitate ways for them to connect with each other. The children engaged in conversations with their peers, sharing experiences of remote learning and reflecting on their time away from each other. Students engaged in maths games, studio provocations and workshops where they collaborated and had shared experiences.
We look forward to the children returning full time to the neighbourhood and continuing our journey of learning face-to-face for the rest of the school year.
