3/4 Neighbourhood End of Year Blog Post 2023
Good afternoon families and friends,
This blog post marks the 4th last day that we will have together as the year 3/4 neighbourhood for 2023. Well done to everyone for what has turned out to be an incredibly successful and enjoyable year!
To celebrate the learning and final projects from our inquiries, the 3/4 neighbourhood shared the products from each major project group: Mapping our school stories of play, symbols to represent our school values and lunchtime clubs. We are grateful to all of the families who attended the Expo and showed their support. Thank you to the children who were instrumental in setting up for the expo and turning our neighbourhood into an exhibition space showcasing works in progress and portfolios to display the journeys we have taken this year.
Here are some reflections from the children in the 3/4 Neighbourhood about the Expo:
I loved how the neighbourhood was set up. I liked how each area showed one project and I liked that I could go into the meeting space to see the lunchtime clubs and watch our videos.
- Milo
I liked that my Mum saw my mask and that she saw the Drawing Club and my game. I liked the singing too. I think that’s all. And spending time with Henry and James.
- Paul
I loved all the tables that were set up in the meeting space because when people were walking through it was really cool because you could easily walk around and see everything. My parents were really impressed with the map. They loved how detailed everything was.
- Freyja
My parents really liked the maths game I made. When my Mum read the book I wrote, she wanted to get a copy. Mum always loves my work.
- Elspeth
We are so proud of every child in this neighbourhood for their growth over this year. We wish you all the very best for 2024!
