Term 3 Week 10
Over the term we considered how spaces are used for play in our school. We were very lucky to have Hannah (our Artist in Residence) come and visit us and discuss how we could map out the areas and include all the knowledge and stories we have of these areas.
We walked around the school and were able to capture the stories we know. We had a former student (on work experience) retell to us the stories of the ‘Cat and Mouse’ from when she was at school.
We will be continuing this next term!
Our lunch time clubs will be starting next term for the younger students. We have been working hard to consider all the aspects of safety, rules needed, resources and planned activities to ensure the participants get to experience a new form of play.
Students within the neighbourhood have been sharing their work on symbols that show our school values and the creative ways they can be incorporated into stories, videos and shared digitally with the wider community.
Jo is looking forward to a quick ‘Meet the Teacher’ opportunity for parents of 3A on Wednesday, week 1 of term 4.
We wish our students and families a great rest over the holidays and look forward to a productive term 4!
