Term 4 Week 6 – Production has Begun
This past fortnight Neighbourhood 2 have been getting very serious in their weaving together of all the many elements of film making we have been hard at work on, the; character development, setting production, script writing, table talks, filming and production company meetings. We have also been working with Deb to develop our musical considerations for the films. The children have explored sound effects, mood and emotional background music to tie into each scene.
“Our team are working really well together. It has been fun to work with lots of different people and getting to see what happens in the end of our work as the Pickle Family Production Company.” – Lou Lou
In the next few weeks we will enlist the help of some year 6 experts to guide us through the required editing of our films. We will also work on creating promotional and marketing campaigns for our films. This will include making a trailer, advertisements and preparations for a film premiere!
Some amazing progress has been made by students in our inquiry recently. For many it has become a passion project and for others it has been an opportunity to develop and practice leadership skills and enjoy an authentic experience to develop and refine a variety of new skills.
“I can’t wait to see what our film is like. It is going to be really good and a bit funny.” – Samson
