In 3/4N2 it is all systems go.
In workshops this week the neighbourhood has begun to think both collectively and individually about one of our big ideas, that systems are interconnected. In small groups the students responded to the question, “What is a system? After some rich discussions the students then shared their developing ideas such as, systems are like a code, systems are how things work and systems are an order of instructions.
Next the students were presented with a definition of a system as a set of parts working together or interconnected to form a complex whole.
The students then began to think of systems they have encountered and how they may work.
This is the beginning of an ongoing and deep inquiry. We look forward to the future possibilities and learning that will arise.
