As part of our investigation into systems students expressed interest in learning about businesses and expressed an interest to create shops.
To build this into a meaningful and real-life context, we have set a provocation that students are a group of budding entrepreneurs with big ideas. The only problem is they have no money!
The entrepreneurs must create Shark Tank style pitch which will be performed to the Sharks when they come to Princes Hill in the near future.
Students are busily designing products and packaging. They are working to specifications, price lists and budgeting for their businesses rent and running costs and calculating profits all in preparation of the Sharks impending visit!
We have also been looking at Australian History and are presenting our work on creating an Australian timeline at the Reconciliation Assembly. Students have been intrigued to find out how long Indigenous people have lived in Australia compared to Europeans and have begun to investigate the early days of colonisation in Australia.
