Planting! Writing!


Last week, Year 2 children enthusiastically planted Indigenous plants into garden beds surrounding the Year 2 Neighbourhood. This much-anticipated milestone marks the culmination of research, the achievement of a shared goal, and another turning point for inquiry. This will become an ongoing project that the students will share with future year levels.

Esther: ” I’m happy because my research showed that salt bush was a good plant to plant, and that’s what I’m doing here.”
Verity – ‘I was trying to get rid of all the roots’
Louis – ‘I was trying to dig, but it got really tough so I ended up digging a second hole near the fence’’
YiEn – ‘I’m very proud of having planted my pigface!’
