LUCY BUNCLE (YEAR COORDINATOR)
STEVE MARKS
Hey, I’m Steve. I have been teaching for over ten years now. I’ve returned to 5/6 for my second year which makes this my sixth year at Princes Hill Primary School. I love the opportunities that our purposeful spaces provide and the depth of understanding developed through the inquiry. I really enjoy seeing students finding their authentic voice and approach to making sense of their existence.
I’m originally from Canberra, but fell in love with Melbourne on visiting about 15 years ago and had to move here. I am passionate about creative thinking and using the arts to explore and express concepts. I do a fair bit of art in my spare time and have exhibited a few times in the past. I worked part-time over the last few years at the National Gallery of Victoria as a Sessional Educator which enabled me to develop my knowledge of art and museum pedagogy in a very inspiring context. This year my favourite part has been doing Dialogic Pedagogies and learning how to be a better listener and discussion leader.
PRAEW PARAMO
Hi! I’m Praew (pronounced like proud with the ‘d’) and I am so excited to continue my journey with the 5/6 Neighbourhood this year. This is my second year teaching at Princes Hill Primary School and my third year of teaching after completing my masters course. Prior to teaching, I worked as a district nurse in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and did a few other studies along the way. I’m extremely grateful to be working alongside an incredible team of teachers. I look forward to being a part of students learning journey this year!
JEN BRADBY
KATHRYNE BATTERSBY
Hi! I’m Kathryne, a Melbourne girl from way back…I began my teaching career at North Fitzroy Primary School. After rather an epic adventure that included finding an Adelaide guy in Vietnam; and teaching at International Schools in Vietnam, Perth, Thailand, Tanzania and Romania, I have finally landed back in Melbourne with my husband and two children in tow! Teaching in the 5/6 team means I have taught all year levels from 3 year olds to Year 12, and I feel lucky to have found such an amazing team to work share my learning with.
