We’re back at school for Health & PE!
It’s been a long time coming, but this week we finally welcomed all students back to school. Over the last two weeks, we have welcomed back students through a staggered and safe return – and even though we’ve only had 30-minute sessions, it’s been so exciting seeing everyone engage and participate with their Health & PE lessons.
Students in Year’s 3-6, who continued their remote learning from home in Week 3, had a final Seesaw task to complete. A fun and engaging task titled ‘Tracking your Ultimate Workout Journey’ where students were to plan and track where they complete a fitness workout. They had the choice of riding a bike, going for a run or setting out for a long walk – but they also had to track their journey by recording and/or editing a mapping template that was shared with them on the post. Students could even use their own electrical recording device, online fitness apps or manually record where they workout. Some of the workout journeys can be found below:
This week, however, all students have returned to school! As mentioned before, our HPE sessions were a quick 30 minutes in length, therefore we only had time to enjoy a warm-up game, some conditioning exercises and brush off our catching, kicking and throwing skills. All in all, it was an excellent sight to see the students return to PE and enjoy our school value in ‘One Community’ through teamwork and support. We can’t wait to continue learning in our sessions together at school, for the remainder of the year!
