Viva la famiglia…viva la festa!
In the junior school, as we wrap up our exploration of ‘la mia storia…la mia famiglia’, the students have had a lot of fun creating birthday scenes, videos, cards and posters to practise and embed their Italian language skills. Many students enjoyed creating ‘una festa’ with toys, making ‘una torta’ (cake), ‘regali’ (presents) and even ‘palloncini’ (balloons!) and recording themselves singing ‘tanti auguri a te’!
Students in years 3-6 have enjoyed exploring their family origins, learning vocabulary and phrases to describe their family members, their languages, their foods and special festivals. As the term draws to an end we’ve celebrated our learning with a very Italian tradition, a game of “Tombola”. A great way to revisit and celebrate our language achievements.
Complimenti a tutti for their joyful and active participation in our online Italian sessions and Seesaw provocations. “Buone vacanze!”
