The children have settled in remarkably well for their first two weeks of school. Our focus has been to orient the children to the different spaces – the Studio, the Learning Commons and the Performance Space. To give us a picture of their observations, we asked the children:
“How do you think we learn in the Studio?”
When you draw, you get better and better Ursula
We can learn how to build, like, if you want to be a builder Miles
We learn by drawing Hugo
We learn how to do big kid’s stuff Miles
“What have you noticed in the Learning Commons?”
I saw some drawing and writing Veronica
I can see letters Josie
I can see puzzles Miro
I see books to read Hannah
I can see a calendar, to know days are coming Kiann
I see pencils Enid
