A conversation on perspective

This week we continued our exploration of perspectives as we explored provocations from the artists in residence even further. The students in ¾ are connecting strongly to the idea of perspectives being captured through storytelling.

Many students have been creating plays, stories and characters that display and celebrate multiple perspectives.

We posed the question:

What can we do to find out more about other people’s perspective?

“We could ask, we could compare.” Claudia

“To find out peoples perspectives you can do a survey and get some data.” Matilda A.

“They might have a different perspective, you just know your ideas.” Banjo

Kat then shared that; “It is important because everyone has a voice and you need to know how they think and feel.”

By exploring perspectives, we can learn more about ourselves and others, and the ¾’s are beginning to use the mediums of the artists in residence as a way to express and share their unique perspectives with others.

“It is good to know someone’s perspective of the world because you can learn more about it.” said Rudi “I want to know more things about everything.”
