I gesti!

Parlare senza parlare (AKA i gesti!)

Recently students in years 3-6 have been exploring a significant aspect of communication for Italians, in other words the use of gestures (i gesti). We’ve seen examples of authentic use of gesti and tried to emulate these in our interactions with one another. I gesti are a powerful and fun way of communicating our emotions and messages and complement the relevant Italian phrases.

Some of the phrases we’ve learnt to communicate with gestures are:

A dopo (see you later)

Ho fame (I’m hungry)

Bellissimo (beautiful, wonderful)

Delizioso (delicious!)

See if you can guess which of these pictures matches the phrases above!
