The Prep Neighbourhood was buzzing with excitement last Wednesday morning as the children arrived ready for our annual Grandparents’ Morning Tea. Our time together began with a performance of two songs co-constructed with our music teacher, Deb. The next part of our morning was spent engaging in provocations with our Grandparents and special friends, along with sharing our inquiry projects and learning.
As teachers, we were incredibly proud of the way that the children were able to share their learning. From conversations with many of the Grandparents it was evident that they could see the sense of joy, depth of learning and high level skills of which our children are capable.
We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to all Grandparents who attended, to all our families for providing a delicious morning tea and to those who supported us with the set up and clean up of this special event. What a wonderful way to celebrate our community.
