Term 4 Week 8 Learning Focus

Welcome to week 8! In the neighbourhoods this week…..

Chance or Skill

We are diving into our chance and probably investigation this week, exploring carnival games and building our understanding of how they work and how much chance you have of a win! Students will be creating chance games and exploring how to adapt them to provide even better odds.

Geography

After our full geography day last week, students are now moving into extending their ideas about how other cultures relate to theirs. Looking at the symbols, history, context and systems that form cultures.

Identity Artworks & Recounts and Podcasts

This week we are polishing our artworks, practising our presentations and editing our podcasts to have them ready to share with each other and the school community before the end of the year.

Genre Study

We are beginning our genre study this week which will see us through until the end of the year. Each group will be working with a teacher to deepen their understanding of a chosen genre and share books they have loved and characters they have connected with.
