Learning Update

Hello,

Term 3 has got off to a busy start. It started with World Tree Day. The children created posters for the day, shared ideas about why trees are important for the environment and helped plant new trees in the playground of Princes Hill.

We also began swimming last week, which finishes up this Friday.

Our assembly is coming up – Week 6 (it was originally scheduled for Week 5). The children will be presenting a play that showcases their learning about the Rainbow Lorikeets and story-telling. Through this process, the children have been deepening their understanding about story structure, in particular, that a story needs characters, settings, a problem and a solution. We have had a range of workshops and provocations to support their learning.

In Maths, the children have been working on mapping skills and developing their spacial reasoning.
