Prep Explorer Holiday Challenge

After Tomo, Jess and Amy shared their ‘explorer stories’ with the children during the course of term 1, last week we proposed a challenge to the children. This being to go on their own explorer adventures during the school holidays!

We are encouraging children to go out and to document what they find during an ‘exploring adventure’ over the holiday break (so that they can share it back at school next term)!

Explorer adventures may happen at the park, in the backyard or any interesting place you may already be planning to visit.

You could ask your child how they could share what they’ve seen and discovered with their friends at school. Some ideas include taking photographs, drawing what they see, creating a journal or collecting some interesting objects (samples).

The children will have the opportunity to share their exploring adventure with their peers next term as part of our listening and speaking program.

Happy exploring!
