Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) Enrichment Challenge Results
Throughout terms 2 and 3, 28 students from years 3-6 participated in the AMT Enrichment Challenge. At PHPS we call it juicy maths. Throughout the term, students collaborated on practice problems. They then submitted their own solutions to the Challenge problems each fortnight. As the name says, the maths in the Challenge is juicy! It requires the students (and their teachers!) to think deeply about mathematical concepts and apply their understanding to solve the problems. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
Special congratulations to Hugo, Winta, Lachlan and Louis, who were awarded distinctions. Aidan, pictured below, was awarded a high distinction, a remarkable achievement.
