Wellbeing session today

Today during their wellbeing workshop, the Preps engaged in a discussion about negative feelings. These are feelings that do not make us feel good inside, and come up for many different reasons. The preps identify negative emotions that they have experienced and the strategies that can help them cope when they experience negative emotions.

 


The Preps made finger puppets as a means of expressing difficult emotions. They will be using these to practice coping strategies – by giving advice to their puppets.

eg – ‘Go for a walk and have a big drink. That’s what can help me feel better when I feel sad.’

‘Taking 3 deep breaths can help you feel better again when you are angry.’

‘If something happens that makes you feel embarrassed, just laugh it off and move on!’
