As part of the student’s exploration of their cultural heritage and personal identity, the children have brought in artefacts and anecdotes to share about their families and which countries they come from. They have also been practising presentation skills and audience member listening skills.
Some of the children presented a Barcelona Jersey from Spain, very creatively made art and craft pizza to represent Italia, a book on the Greek alphabet, a dress from Bendigo (country Victoria) and two children performed the New Zealand Haka dance.
If your child is interested in sharing their cultural heritage and bringing in an artefact, we will be holding more presentations on cultural heritage next week and in the following weeks on Mondays.
