Camp goals – 5 more sleeps

Today students were given the printed and finalised camp booklet. They had a chance to look at their schedules and groups to prepare for next week. We have decided for efficiency sake, that we’d keep the booklets at school.

As mentioned in our previous post, in order to make the most of the opportunity for growth, we’re asking them to reflect on the following skills/abilities:

  • Meet and get to know new people
  • Value and appreciate others
  • Get along with others
  • Keep my room/personal belongings tidy
  • Participate in activities enthusiastically
  • Be helpful to others
  • Include others in games or activities
  • Take responsibility for what I do
  • Feel proud of my achievements
  • Use appropriate language
  • Listen to and follow camp staff and leader requests
  • Show appreciation (saying thanks)
  • Keep myself safe
  • Help others stay safe
  • Show others I care by being respectful of their things and them
  • Help others to do well

We’d love for you to have conversations with them about how they percieve themselves in regards to these and to consider four goals that they might set for camp to BE AT THEIR BEST. This is the target that they will be able to complete in their booklet on Friday.
