In science, the Preps watched a video “Colour Changing Milk”
Following the video, we discussed how to create a procedural text to document the experiment. First, we began with the Title: How to make Rainbow Milk then, we listed the items milk, food dye, soap, cotton buds, plate. Lastly, we included the steps:
- 1) Put in the milk
- 2) Put in the dye
- 3) Dip the cotton bud in the soap
- 4) Put a drop of soap in the dye
The Preps then had the task of writing it in their books and where possible they were encouraged to sound out. In the follow up lesson the Preps created a label diagram which featured the different items needed to make the experiment a success!
Tomorrow we plan to make Rainbow Milk! =)
