A Day in May

It was a rocking’ Friday last week! Many children in the neighbourhood came dressed up in rock star themed attire as part of ‘A Day in May’, organised by GoldĀ House Captains to raise money forĀ Challenge, an organisation that provides assistance for children with cancer.

During our writing session, we discussed how rockstars did not become the amazing musicians that they are overnight. It takes time to learn a muscial skill – just like it takes time to learn how to write.

It also takes bravery to be a Rockstar! They perform in front of so many people! Writers also need to be brave – making mistakes and having a go is all a part of the writing process.

Here are some photos of our little rock stars!

The Preps also enjoyed a dance party before recess in the performance space.
