The Scientific Method

This week the 5/6 students followed the scientific method to ask and answer some scientific questions.  Given the fantastic weather on Thursday the students were able to conduct two experiments outside.  Before conducting their experiments they formulated an aim and a hypothesis. After the experiments were completed they wrote up their results and analysed their findings.   There were many opportunities to discuss differing ideas and clarify misconceptions.  A very enjoyable and worthwhile experience.
