My Place Project!

As you may have now heard, we are doing some special projects and presentations neighbourhood. Our Big Idea for this year is ‘My Place’, and one of the guiding questions we have is ‘What makes a place special to you?’.

We are asking the students to choose a place that they have a special connection to  – whether it be somewhere around their home, or further afield like a holiday house, grandparents farm or even an exotic location on the other side of the world! The students will research and discuss certain questions and then present their findings to the neighbourhood in small groups.

Below is a run down of what is happening and a timeline to go along with it.  Students will be given ample opportunities to complete the work in Project and Provocation time, but we also ask that parents can help their children out at home – especially when it comes to pictures or artefacts from their place.
